SERVING PERSONS (APPROX): 3 – 4 persons
PREPARATION TIME (APPROX): 30 minutes
COOKING TIME (APPROX): 30 – 35 minutes
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE CHICKEN CURRY DISH:
-Chicken 1 kg
-Onion medium size chopped 2
-Tomatoes – boiled and make it paste 2
-Fresh corriander leaves 5 tbsp
-Yoghurt 3-4 tbsp
-Salt (as per taste)
-Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
-Corriander powder 1 tsp
-Turmeric powder 1/3 tsp
-Bay leaves 1 , Cinnamon stick 1 , Star anis 1 , Black cardamom 1 , Cloves 6 , Black peper 9
-Cumin seeds 1 tsp
-Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp
-Green chilli paste of 3 chillies
-Lemon juice 2 tbsp
-Tomato paste 1 tbsp (optional)
COOKING METHOD TO PREPARE ‘CHICKEN CURRY’ DISH:
-Marinate the chicken with yoghurt,lemon juice,ginger garlic paste and then let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
-Put a pan on a medium flame and then add cumin seeds,bay leaves,cinnamon stick,star anis,black cardamom,
cloves & black pepper fry it for 2-3 minutes and then add onion paste into it and then fry it until the
colour turns into light golden brown after that add marinated chicken in it and then green chilli paste,
mix it well and cook it for 5-6 minutes
-After 6 minutes add tomato puree,salt,red chillipowder,corriander powder,turmeric powder & tomato paste ,
mix it well and cover it,let it cook for 5 minutes,add 1+1/2 cup of water to make grav, again cover it
and let it cook for 10 minutes,and then add fresh corriander leaves and green chilli on top of chicken curry
again let it cook and let it mix up in curry for 3 minutes.
-It’s ready , you can serve it with Naan, Rice, Bread 🙂
